Social Media Manager for The Conversationalist
Interested in insider access to an early stage start up? Interested in helping to grow a new content platform empowering young people everywhere to have conversations that matter? My name is Sophie and I am the Founder & CEO of The Conversationalist.
I am in need of a Social Media Manager and Director to help with all areas of the company’s social media strategy at the highest level. Our company utilizes social media for our primary communications and I am looking to hire someone to help strategize and implement all social media related projects for The Conversationalist.
Through weekly podcast episodes, video series, and more initiatives launching in 2020, The Conversationalist is working to engage Gen Z in the conversation on all of our platforms as we tackle the difficult topics that impact young adults every single day. The Social Media Manager would work directly with me to implement creative campaigns, posts, and engagement tactics to grow our audience.
Projects include creative outreach, launching our influencer marketing campaign, networking with partners and their social media managers, creating official documents, creating ads, analyzing metrics, implementing new growth strategies, designing graphics on Canva or Photoshop, newsletter building, and communicating updates and important information with the rest of the team. The Social Media Manager would get access to The Conversationalist HQ and learn the inner workings, first-hand, of an upcoming startup. We can’t wait to meet you!

What you need to do
This is a very hands on role and I am looking for someone with the proper time, dedication, work ethic, and passion for this role. As Social Media Manager, you will have a 360 degree view of our company’s social media landscape. Not only will you help design graphics, create copy for captions, and schedule posts, but you will also be responsible for overall engagement and growth. You will be constantly engaging with other like minded accounts on a variety of platforms, you will be spreading the word about us on social media to engage with our current, as well as potential new ambassadors, and you will be focused on our overall social media strategy to grow our Instagram platform to at least 10K followers by May and to boost numbers on all of our platforms overall.

-Ability to align with and strengthen our unique brand voice in all content
-Flexible and open to the ever changing, fast paced nature of the startup environment
-Available for daily tasks related to helping the CEO
-Must be comfortable sharing about The Conversationalist on your own personal social media channels
This position will start on a contract and if we work well together, I am open to rate adjustment, as well as promotion to part time or full time work. I am looking for the right fit, first and foremost!
