Belle Bar Organic is a natural hair care company for women of color. We specialize in guiding women of color through the natural hair care process using our 3 pronged system of organic products, natural hair care education and community support. We have partnered up with a haircare influencer to create our first email eCourse focused on hair growth using Ayurvedic Herbs. This is our first ecourse and the goal is to replicate this template many times over to offer different natural hair care courses.

Ideal Candidate:
An enthusiastic self-starter individual who has a strong passion for natural hair care for women of color and is committed to going above and beyond to deliver quality and creative training materials in different areas or haircare that can transform the natural hair care community. Looking for someone who is enthusiastic about projects from inception to launch and is interested in working in a dynamic culture that has high expectations. As this is a new initiative, some level of comfort with ambiguity and effective problem solving are key to success.

Responsibilities:
In-depth understanding of learning theories and instructional design models.
Create and design training curriculum template that can be replicated over multiple ecourses.
The ability to break down influencer videos, blog posts and written articles into a 60 day email course.
Collaborate with subject matter experts/influencers to further develop training materials
Writes, edits, proofreads training curriculum

Manage the development and resources utilized for the integration of all content into the program to include graphics, illustrations, activities, case studies, quizzes, video editing from content creators.
Provide guidance on the content that needs to be covered in each lesson.
Review existing course content (if available) and make recommendations on what can be adapted.

What you need to do

Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 2- 3 years of experience in instructional design and eLearning course development, including needs assessment, curriculum development, storyboarding, script writing, course publishing, and evaluation. Focus on development over strategy.

Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, test questions, and audio scripts/video scripts.
Skilled at graphic design and layout and the ability to use tools such as Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
Knowledge of various course assessment techniques and methods.
In-depth understanding of learning theories and instructional design models.
Strong communication and relationship building skills
Ability to convert complex information into easily understandable text and graphics
Ability to work independently to solve problems in enterprising and proactive ways.
Ability to monitor and report on status of assigned projects .
Ability to analyze data and communicate trends and issues.
Manages multiple projects with competing priorities

We are looking to pay per project or monthly retainer, not hourly. Our budget is set between $2500 – $3000 depending on level of experience and level of support offered to create the entire email course as well as template that can be replicated. Max budget is non negotiable.

We need someone to start immediately as our first course starts January 18th.Most of the materials needed (blogs, research, videos) that will serve as the resources for the ecourse has already been created.
