Muses was first launched in 2018 as an influencers network, connecting social media influencers with brands. Soon after launch, we saw many of our users have multiple titles in addition to “Influencers”, they are also “Graphic Designers”, “Makeup Artists”, “Photographers”, etc. so instead of servicing influencers and brands alone, we decided to open up our platform to all digital and creative talents. There are currently over 23 official professions defined on Muses. As of the beginning of 2019, we have attracted over 45,000 members in 121 countries, though 90% are US talents. The Gig Economy
The gig economy as defined by the industry, consists of self-employed workers, freelancers, flexible-workers, and “side-hustlers”, has grown in population and popularity in recent years. According to the Freelancers Union, 57 million Americans (roughly 36% of the US workforce) are already freelancing in 2018. This number is projected to grow to 45% of the workforce by 2020.
Muses empowers workers in the Gig economy by providing jobs and networking opportunities through our web platform and iOS app. We believe in helping people build their passions and enabling people to do what they love with who they like.
Muses on iOS
Muses offers networking capabilities for members through our iOS app. Members can build their own Muses networks of entrepreneurs, discover business prospects, hire and get hired for gigs. We are currently working on bringing on full iOS capabilities to our website users as well.
